The Beliefs
of the Fellowship
Mission Statement
Saturday Christian Fellowship exists to offer every person the opportunity to:
• Love YHWH (יהוה) (God)
• Follow Yeshua (Jesus)
• Be led by the Ruach Hakodesh (the Holy Spirit)
• Observe Shabbat
• Study the Bible
• Build His Kingdom
• Stand with the people and the land of Israel
• Celebrate the Biblical Feasts (the Moedim) (God's Appointed Times)
Statement of Faith
• We believe in one God (YHWH), as he has revealed Himself in the Scriptures. (Deuteronomy 6:4)
• We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the only begotten Son of YHWH, the Messiah, the Eternal One who is the Word, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and dwelt among us. (John 1:1-14; Colossians 2:9)
• We believe that the Ruach Hakodesh (the Spirit of God) draws, calls, comforts, teaches, leads, indwells and empowers all people. (Acts 9:31; 1 John 2:27; John 16:13; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Timothy 1:7)
• We believe that the Bible, both the Tanach (the Old Testament) and the Brit Hadashah (the New Testament), are the only inspired, authoritative and perfect Word of YHWH (God). It is the written revelation of the righteousness of YHWH (God) and a description of the lifestyle of the redeemed community. (Matthew 5:17-19; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
• We believe that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of YHWH. (Romans 3:23)
• We believe Yeshua's death and resurrection accomplished the atonement for all who place their faith in Him. Whoever trusts in His atoning work, is born anew by faith through the grace of YHWH alone. One cannot earn, merit, or keep this eternal salvation by their own efforts, it is only through Yeshua. (Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 8:29-39; Romans 5, 6)
• We believe in Baptism through water immersion and Baptism in the Ruach Hakodesh (the Holy Spirit) for all believers.
• We believe in the spiritual unity and equality of all believers in Yeshua the Messiah. (Ephesians 2:11-22)
• We believe in the continuity of YHWH's covenants with the people and the land of Israel. (Jeremiah 31:35-36 and parallel passages, Deuteronomy 30)
• We believe that all Gentiles who trust in Yeshua are grafted into Israel. While this does not make them Jewish, they are full and equal participants in YHWH’s covenants of promise. (Ephesians 2:12; Romans 11:11-24; Jeremiah 31:33)
• We believe in celebrating Shabbat and the Feasts of YHWH, as they are a pattern of things past and of things to come. (Leviticus 23; Colossians 2 :17)
• We believe in the literal, physical return of Messiah to rule and reign upon the throne of David in Jerusalem. (Zechariah 14; Revelation 19-20)
